| Technical Marketing Engineer job in California. The TME will contribute to the integration, testing, best practices, product demos, and development of optimal solution configurations with company HYDRAstor grid storage platform and D-Series storage arrays. Develop guides and technical training materials, and conduct training for SEs. Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with NAS and SAN storage systems in major O/S environments including Windows 2003/2008, Linux, and UNIX Solaris, AIX, HP-UX. Technical expertise with storage networking technologies, including SAN FC/iSCSI, NAS CIFS/NFS, LAN/WAN, storage arrays and tape libraries, VTL, and NDMP. Hands-on experience with storage administration processes, including SAN configuration, device switch, storage array configuration, remote replication, backup/recovery, and archive. Experience setting up, configuring, and running enterprise applications, from email to databases and web servers to file servers and media streaming, in standalone and clustered environments. Hands-on experience with design, implementation, and support of comprehensive enterprise backup/recovery and archive architecture/infrastructure solutions for end user environments. Experience installing backup software and agents, setting up backup policies and retention schedules, reporting on success/failure of backups, backup/restore to/from tape and disk, and tape disaster recovery administration and troubleshooting backup failures. Hands-on expertise and best practices knowledge for major backup and archive applications from Symantec/Veritas, EMC/Legato, CommVault, IBM/Tivoli, HP, and CA. Experience with disaster recovery implementations, including replication and WAN optimization.
