The Multicore Platform Technologies Group within the San Jose Computer Science Lab and in collaboration with the Advanced Institute of Technology SAIT is developing the future of the multicore CE platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and directing CSLs multicore platform research program. This is a tremendous opportunity to drive a research vision, build a world-class research group and deliver tangible, impactful results to company product divisions. Candidate must have: PhD in Computer Science with a minimum of 2 years experience or MSc with 5+ years experience. Deep expertise in one or more of the following areas: Multicore architecture, multiprocessor architecture, low power, parallelizing compilers, multithreading, scheduling, load balancing, transactional memory, application workload estimation and modeling. Advanced understanding of embedded systems development is desirable. Experience with ARM cores would be an advantage. Experience in either an academic or a corporate R and D environment. Proven research track record including refereed journal or conference publications and patents. Ability to work in a diverse, fast paced environment.
